Senior ITS Staff & Associates

Peter Hanlon

Peter Hanlon is one of our founding Directors and has a broad range of experience in software testing spanning 20 years in the financial, manufacturing, utilities, government and defence sectors.

Peter has held senior test management and design positions at major financial, engineering and telecommunications companies in Australia, the USA and Europe. His career has centered on the provision of leading edge automated testing solutions and test consulting services for a broad range of technologies and business applications.

Peter has an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Degree from the University of Adelaide, software qualifications from the University of California (UCLA), and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Australia.

 

Sharon Picken

Sharon Picken is one of our founding Directors and has 20 years experience in software development, testing and software quality management in the financial, education, defence, government and gaming sectors. She has developed and delivered training in software testing at both the undergraduate and post graduate level, and was recently a member of the NATA Steering Committee that developed guidelines for accreditation of software testing laboratories.

Sharon has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Studies from the University of South Australia.

Sharon has undertaken test management roles for Bank SA, Department of Education Training and Employment, Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Ellex Laser Systems, Forestry SA, Government House, GTest (now Gaming Laboratories Australia), Homestart Finance, Office of the Liquor Licensing Commissioner, SA Water and Tower Trust.

 

Julie Hanlon

Julie Hanlon has been working for ITS since 2002 and has experience in a broad range of business sectors including financial services, energy, mining, media, entertainment, government, manufacturing and the wine industry. Julie has provided senior consulting services to various accounting and financial systems projects for ITS.

These include a management consulting role for Anderson Bryant working on a range of business performance improvement projects. Prior to joining ITS, Julie worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (Australia) as a Manager and IT Consultant for the Global Risk Management Solutions group.

Julie also spent three years on secondment to PwC's London office and worked as a manager with expertise in business systems implementation, computer assurance and internal audit. Julie holds a Bachelor of Business Information Systems and Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of South Australia.

 

 

Graeme Conron

Graeme has been working with ITS since 2003 and specializes in test automation using testing tools from leading vendors such as Mercury, Rational, Compuware and Empirix. His project experience includes using automation to support performance testing, regression testing and post deployment data rectification.

Graeme has also developed and implemented testing strategies for accounting, payroll and point of sale systems, including establishing beta testing programs with channel partners. He has managed software product testing teams and set up test environments.

 

Liz Renton

Liz Renton has been working for ITS since 2004 and is an experienced Engineer and consultant with a broad range of both technical and non-technical skills. Liz has undertaken roles including Test Engineer, Technical Manager and Senior Consultant.

Liz has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering with honours by the University of South Australia. She has also undertaken further studies including a short course in Software Testing & Evaluation offered through the Australian Centre for Test and Evaluation.

Liz also has significant personal achievements with being selected for the Electrical Engineering (SA) Branch Committee of Engineers Australia, Treasurer and Newsletter Editor of the Women in Engineering (SA) Branch Committee of Engineers Australia and recipient of the Tea Tree Gully Young Citizen of the Year Award for services to youth and community.

 

 

Ian Shakes

Ian Shakes has been working for ITS since 2004 and is an experienced Engineer and manager with a broad range of both technical and non-technical skills that have been developed over years of working in Defence, Government and commercial industries.

Ian has undertaken senior testing related roles in both defence and commercial sectors including Consultant, Project Leader, Team Leader, Analyst and Senior Lecturer. He has also provided consulting services in the area of spatial systems.

Ian has an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Degree from the University of Adelaide and is a current member of the Institution of Engineers Australia, the Project Management Institute and the Australian Computer Society.
